Studios

Located in the heart of the Fiminco Foundation in Romainville, the dance studios of the Compagnie Blanca Li are part of a space dedicated to art and artists, where creation and transmission are the main concerns.

The workspace includes two dance studios dedicated to the Company's activities, serving as production spaces for creating upcoming projects and for rehearsals for touring shows. Close to the size of a theatre stage, with high ceilings and abundant natural light, they are perfectly suited not only to dance, but also to theatre, music, and other artistic disciplines. Equipped with changing rooms with showers, offices, and a company kitchen, the facility is comprehensive and offers a cohesive environment dedicated to live performance.

Easily accessible via metro line 5 (Bobigny-Pantin-Raymond Queneau station) or by bicycle along the Canal de l'Ourcq, Blanca Li created her latest piece there, staging Henry Purcell's opera, Dido and Aeneas, with six dancers from her company and the musical ensemble Les Arts Florissants, conducted by William Christie. Blanca Li's immersive and vibrant virtual reality experience, Le Bal de Paris – touring Europe since November 2021 and worldwide since January 2023 – has taken up residence in Romainville to continue full-scale testing and facilitate the research necessary for ongoing technological development. 

The studio doors are also open to other artists (theater, opera, dance, circus, photographers, etc.) wishing to benefit from a fully equipped space just outside Paris. The studios welcome other creators for all their needs, from a few days to several months, including a 24/7 lock-out option: this allows them to use the Blanca Li Studios for extended periods, leave their sets and costumes on site, and make the space their own in order to create their future productions in ideal conditions.
